LMP demos............I can't figure them out

I may have asked this before when I first joined, but how the f**k do you make LMP's (recorded demos) on DOOM 95? I tried increasing the maximum file size option, but as soon as I click the OK button it says "Demo (whatever name).lmp recorded". WTF? I didn't even start playin the game yet!!!!!!!!!! I am, however, able to load up a demo that was already made. And I never go above 8 characters either. Strangely though, they work when I do them for Hexen. Someone help!!!!!!

Demo recording and playback is busted with Doom95. AFAIK it doesn't work right for anyone else either. I don't know of any work arounds.
