Zeratul 982 Posted March 28, 2001 Another victim of the annoying 'illegal operation' alerts. Don't you just HATE those? Anyway, I really don't know what's going on. I don't have Quake 3, but I guess someone else out there knows. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest s999cop Posted March 28, 2001 hey thanks man, see two hours after it works again, at least the aol program, probably the computer is screwed by some program....sigh, illegal operation problem is the gayyest o, umm, the detail that illegal operation given is caused by a file called winmm.dll where it locates in windows folder, by the way , does anyone know under what conditions would zdoom crash? 0 Share this post Link to post
Arioch Posted March 28, 2001 You could try to open up zdoom.ini and find the sound output line and change that to the value "dsound" ... 0 Share this post Link to post

BuffGUh Posted March 28, 2001 why dont u simply uninstall Q3:A first, then reinstall that? i have a feeling that Q3:A is the root of your problem and stuff... just a suggestion... 0 Share this post Link to post

Note that .wave and .midi devices are mapped to the Wdmaud.drv file in the Drivers32 registry key, but AUX is not, causing Winmm.dll not to succeed when it tries to load the AUX library. 0 Share this post Link to post
