hello

if i wanna start ZDoom it says "DLL file PTC.DLL not found" ... zdoom and doom are in the same folder... what can i do ??

please answer quick-i wanan play doom the whole night today thanks

Ok, make a new file called 'zdoom'. Put zdoom in it, then copy ONLY doom.wad from your doom file into 'zdoom'. This should work since zdoom is designed to work with wads not exe programs and there is probably a clash or something. Alternatively you could download zdoom launcher and put this in your zdoom folder- it is a much more flexable program, I suggest you get it. Hope this helps.

no that file is not there...what is that file or where do i get it? ...can zdoom be run without ptc.dll ?

The ptc.dll is included with zdaemon and csdoom go grab one of those to add to zdoom folder, a useful addition anyway

Grab the latest beta (24), I'm pretty sure it doesn't use ptc.dll anymore anyway.

I had the same problem before. The file is probably there, but hidden.
Open a window then go to the "view" menu and choose "folder options.
Next open the "view" tab and select "show all files."
Now look in the folder where you unzipped the file. It should be in there. Just move it in the same location where zdoom.exe is.
