Guest MrHarmony Posted May 7, 2001 Uhm, I don't quite see the problem here... What you need is a WAD from the original Doom, Doom 2 or whatever, and just about any source port to play it. You may have to explicitly tell the engine which IWAD to load, though, if it looks for "doom.wad" only. Most source ports should handle Doom 2, AFAIK. Try lsDoom/lxDoom, ZDoom, lsdDOOM, PrBoom, etc... Of course, there's the original Linux/X version, and some early ports for GGI, svgalib and other targets, but I wouldn't bother with them these days. Try the Linux versions of major source ports such as ZDoom and PrBoom first. They generally have proper sound, built-in config interface, TCP/IP network support, high resolutions and other nice stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post
