Make sure you are NOT using ver. 1.88, It's full of bugs. Try ver. 1.83. It works fine for me.

First of all I take it that you know you MUST run Waded in dos or dos mode. It will not work in windows.

Second are you familiar with changing your dos configuration at all. You might have to to get it to work right.

Third like another poster said. Use version 1.83.

Just edit WADED.CFG and fill in the lines. It should look like this:

Doom1=C:\DOOM\DOOM.WAD
Doom2=C:\DOOM2\DOOM2.WAD
Heretic=C:\HERETIC\HERETIC.WAD

Obviously point those to where your WADs are, and if you don't have one, just leave that location blank.

The program also uses DOS conventional memory for it's running space, so if you have low conventional memory you are very limited in the size of levels you can load. If you can set up a dual boot between Windows95 or 98 and the old DOS 6.22, use DOS 6.22 mode and pick up QEMM, it works wonders (provided you only use WadEd v1.83 and Doom.exe with it.)
