Guest Ape Tickler Posted July 31, 2000 Can anyone throw some info at me about BEX files? What can they do? How can I make them? I can't find anything. 0 Share this post Link to post

bitstate Posted August 2, 2000 Yes, I'm working on a .bex editor and will have a somewhat functioning early release out pretty soon (by soon i mean hopefully before this weekend, an early screenshot is allready at the zdoom forum, as well as answers to some questions). .bex files are really text files, but as far as i have found out .bex files are really .deh files with some entries modified (the syntax for the thing "bits =" entry as well as others) and some entries added (the pointer section). The stuff that has been modified and added are stated wihthin the boomdeh.txt file that comes with the boom sourceport, the syntax for .deh is atleast in existing .deh files. To get into bex editing, simply get friendly with dehacked and then by reading the boomdeh textfile you'll find out whats different. :o) 0 Share this post Link to post
