Help with Edge

How do I get started useing Edge with Deepsea Editor?

I believe that you can create a new opt file and add the new sector types in it. Look at the Boom opt and you can see the format. It looks like you only need to add the new linedefs. Everything else should be standard Doom2. The press F5 and load it. If I'm wrong someone correct me.
