Metroid is a nice idea. As a matter of fact, I created a Samus Aran skin based on the sprites in Super Metroid some time ago.

However, a Metroid TC is not a good idea without a modified executable. I think not even DDF will be enough for e.g. metroids :\

Use low/no/negative gravity in a huge black sky-only box room, and make cacodemons that look like asteroids, make them bounce and never stop, when shot use a triple spawner, and the walls/floor/ceiling all have teleporter triggers to put them on the opposite side (like the original game), that would be pretty kick ass.

I think it's do-able with EDGE 1.24.
