I'm going to be optomistic and say that it will definatly succeed. They still have John, and I'm sure the new guys arnt totally doom dumb, who hasnt played doom or atleast heard of it thats in the gaming industry? Alot of the games being made nowadays are inspired by the original doom, so if these guys are coming off from other teams of creators or even if they are new, they probably will do a pretty good job. The only problem I could see is trying to make Doom 3 a ground breaking new game, since it will have to live up to its GrandFather Doom and Father Doom 2 :) and at the same time out do some of todays games like Unreal Engine Games and even ID's own Quake 3 engine games. Hope I made some sense there.
