Ha ha ha. I will be back with a Demon and Zombie! Now quick question, what is the tag to make the images appear instead of the url? I can't seem to remember these from Ezboard's and UBB's! Too many Board codes! Tell me what you guys think! dylan http://www.rebornmod.cjb.net 0 Share this post Link to post
Lord FlatHead Posted January 17, 2001 Wow, id Software should hire you ! Well, not really, but you get the point. The models are impressive, especially the Cyberdemon. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest elyuca Posted January 17, 2001 Just wondering if the lost soul's fire would look better as an animated sprite (like rocket fire) Cant wait for the baron of hell! and the mastermind! 0 Share this post Link to post
Zaldron Posted January 17, 2001 I would recommend using 2 or 3 layers of "fire" texture alpha-blended (I`m talking about a new shader, of course). The big fire found on Q3DM1, for example, could be adapted to distort over the fire surface. 0 Share this post Link to post

Guest dylangivens Posted January 17, 2001 Well instead of using a shader for the flame we were going to use a 3 frame animation. It would look alot better. As for the 3D Remake. I was just joking. Because a while ago, some guy told me that Reborn would never make it into production. Also, I did NOT make these models. One of the modelers who works for me made them. He is very talented and his name is Demon. That's about it. dylan 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Demon Reborn Posted January 18, 2001 yeah those are my babies there. and the lost soul's fire in that pic is merely a cellular max material at 50% opaque to give a VERY slight hint as to what the intended effect is. The final will animate between three alpha mapped frames of fire. im confident we can have a lot of flexibility with the fire that way. especially around the mouth area. its gonna look kick ass. BTW, stay tuned for a bubble gum demon. coming soon. (EDIT) And call me newbie to these boards but does this method of replying to post make sense anyone else? or does the most recent post always appear below the first post? why cant the first post be at the top and the last post be at the bottom. wouldnt that make sense? (/EDIT) 0 Share this post Link to post
Zaldron Posted January 18, 2001 No, this method allows you to quickly find any updated material that is posted under each "tree branch" of the topic. Is a really cool forum system since it allows you to move the thread in multiple ways (example : flames get stuck under the same branch, while interesting stuff goes apart). As I said some posts below, you should use a shader (in fact, an animated frame is done by swapping between layers opacity on a shader). That´s how iD made the explosion sprites set. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Demon Reborn Posted January 18, 2001 Well of course we're gonna use a shader. cant animate maps at all without one. like i said before, that fire is merely a place holder 0 Share this post Link to post
Zaldron Posted January 18, 2001 Well, anyway, I lost the point of my post. Just wanted to say that your models rock, they even project each DooM enemy personality without having skin yet (words of complimment from a guy that uses 3D Studio since Release 4 for DOS). 0 Share this post Link to post
