doomsick Posted January 30, 2001 it has recently come to my attention that there is doom available on the SNES and the sega saturn, has anyone here played these? know where to get these old games? are they worth the effort? 0 Share this post Link to post
Zaldron Posted January 30, 2001 If we look at the current status of the DooM ports, I think it will be really boring to play those ports. Specially if we take in mind the low specs of both systems. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Omega Posted January 30, 2001 If you have it for computer, that should be enough. It's not like it improves or anything with the SNES. 0 Share this post Link to post
stphrz Posted January 30, 2001 Well if you have a PC better than a 386 my advice: Don't bother. The SNES version is decent considering the platform, but the framerate is low, the graphics are very pixelated, and there's (not surprisingly) a lot of missing levels, graphics, sounds, and animation. The best part of this port is the accuracy of the levels. For the most part they are identical to the PC versions. The Saturn version is pretty much the same as the Playstation, but without the fancy lighting. The framerate is a lot worse too. 0 Share this post Link to post
