A Joke from iD

half year ago, i've emailed to id, but so far still no responses from them, probably too busy...

But i've heard a bro's classmate who is a Quake3player. That guy has emailed iD and tell them to make Quake4 instead of Doom3,but iD had no response to him. Then he kept emailed id to make Q4,then finally id response him like this: "SHut Your Mouth ! You dumb idgame-player! We'll do it my waY"...LOL

Based on that,i dunno if it's true from that guy's saying, but the truth Id won't email you back not till a year, i suppose..

My idea of a John Carmack quote is more like "I've been pushing this issue back for a couple of years, but things have finally started coming together on there that I see it as a high enough item on my priority list... Some NV_CUBEMAPPING_REGISTER_COMBINING_THINGIES weren't backflipping mipcap matrices between the appropriate stencil buffer registers, which generally causes a severe performance hit on cards like the Radeon and Voodoo4. I've found that transmogrifying single pass mipcap matrices to the front buffer before DMA processing neatly solves this issue."

To people who actually know stuff about 3D hardware this is probably the most senseless post ever, but what the hey. We can't all be the Carmack.

I don't think ID will ever reply to you, they probably have thousands of emails that they never get a chance to answer, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
