what do i need to play doom on internet

Im tired of q2 and my connection stinks for q3 so I installed my old games. got quake going again and installed doom. i just downloaded gldoom and im getting ready to fuddle my way thru setting it up. I saw that there is doom internet play. What files do i need to play on the net. I use a 56k modem

Hi... you need:

1.- A doom IWAD: DOOM.WAD, DOOM2.WAD, TNT.WAD and PLUTONIA.WAD... but this WADS must be 1.9 version...

2.- CSDOOM... The FLY's MOD it's the actual best way to play doom over internet... it's like quakeworld but for DOOM... and is very easy to use...

3.- The ip of a CSDOOM server... well, to connect to the server you must write in a DOS window the next command:

doomcl -heapsize xx -connect crystal.telefragged.com

xx= the amount of memory that you give to the game...

And THAT is ALL...
