This. I can understand why the brutal thing took off, but glorified gore mods are not for me either. They're only doing br00tal Strife because it came out on Steam recently.

I wish I could even like Strife. But the level design is horrible and it hasn't aged well enough.

Eh, I think Strife is a good game, and very ambitious too. My main gripe with it is how brutally unforgiving the combat can get. Your weapons feel underpowered and the enemies can soak up too much damage, even from the late game weapons like the mauler. But once you get past that, I think it's a great experience.

Heh, this mod is older than you think.

Strife is amazing on how it handled its gameplay on the id Tech 1: stealth and RPG.

Level design is superb. I'm guessing you couldn't find your way around because of the puzzles given by the... contractors.

The levels are more complicated than Doom and are more time consuming, so what? Its fun.
