Violence (4 map EP)

The music fits with the environment imo. I'm glad to see some love given to electronic music once in a while.

first two maps breezed through pretty quick, the third map was a little messy, kept getting shot in the back by wandering monsters, and cacodemons descending over high ledges and stuff. Fourth level was a pretty fun massacre, gotta agree with the others that it was a little on the easy side. I have a feeling you might have a bit of trouble beefing up the difficulty without making the gameplay chug. If you intend to make more maps for this project, that should be good for the difficulty curve. Maybe you could contract some people to make a couple guest maps for it to add on :)

I'm not that big of a fan in electronica music in doom but these tracks in particular reminded me of the club scene in John Wick and got me all pumped up

Great work and thank you for sharing your gift with us :D

Ok, I should be able to toughen up MAP04 a bit, do some difficulty settings and get that up on the forums sometime tomorrow.

I though... "Man, it is tough..."
I though... "Man, he must make some eaiser maps for us as well!"

Well, that just means you've gotta improve your Doom skills!

music reminded me of hotline miami, I liked it a lot. overall great mapset, map02 is my personal favorite out of all of them. level design reminds me more of back to saturn x than valiant though, if I'm being honest

I was going over this map and I thought I had posted this here earlier:

Happy (belated) Birthday AD!

This was a very beautiful and fun map set to play through! I loved the palette you used here; it looks fantastic! The music was fitting, though I prefer metal with my Doom. Detailing was top-notch and I loved the mechanics of level 2. The shootable switches and secrets in general were nicely done, though a couple on the last level totally stumped me.

Here is my blind-run FDA of the first two-and-a-half maps, bout 20-21 minutes long. I think I did it in -complevel 9, but I've changed the shortcut since then so who the Hell knows. I started making a bunch of mistakes on the third map (bout 17 minutes in) because alcohol alone was not enough to keep me warm on that cold night, heh. (I also take outdoors with my metal and Doom as well)

Went through the rest a few days (maybe a week?) ago, though, and I was mad that I died so stupidly on that third map since the rest wasn't that bad (matter of fact, I think, in retrospect, that the third may have been the easiest map, lol). Still, I never would have made it through that fourth map on the first try anyway. That thing was tricky. Still, I'd like to say that I really enjoyed this set of maps and I look forward to your next ones!

After watching suite's stream. I decided to give this a go. Only did maps 1 and 2 and so far, it's some really good stuff.

Fun and fast paced gameplay and the reskined weapons are a nice addition too. Can't wait to finish this.

Fun maps, I died in 4th when shot the first of "only 6 more to go" switches and barrels and Imps teleported into room. Maybe one thing to say - in Map03 it took some time to find out what you have to do, otherwise great. I loved custom weapons. I am going to steal you that rocket launcher one, cause I like it a lot. Is it yours or where is it from?

Gonna do a playthrough of this on my channel (yugiboy85 on youtube).

2 maps have been recorded so far and are ready for upload but I'm wating to have a better connection at hand to do so.

Last upload was a little fucked up because of that.

First 2 maps should be up by monday.

Sorry for the bump but Map 3 can break, at least in gzdoom. It looks like the purple key shifted off center on its little pole but didn't actually teleport to the pad. Confused the hell out of me until I watched a video to see what was supposed to happen.

Yeah, this is a known bug that happens occasionally, sorry :x I could probably upload a quick fix that changes how the key teleport works to make it consistent.

I absolutely loved this, the vivid purples and yellows were strikingly beautiful. The architecture was of course stunning and the game play was relaxed but still provided plenty of challenge. I had a lot of fun using the custom weapon sprites and what not and exploring the visuals of the levels. I enjoyed the music too, though I can't say I approve to much of the last song, vocals and all. Wasn't my thing.

Great job man!

Heh, nah, this was definitely one of my favorites last year; such a pretty, fun wad with a great theme. This'll never be leaving my hard drive.

I'm still surprised that you guys like this thing so much :o

I've fixed the purple key teleport, it should be a lot more consistent now. Will re-upload to the archives soon and this post will be edited when I've done so.

Nice. I liked this wad a lot. Recently I was listening to the new Perturbator album and thought that I'd like to play the doom levels that used it as a soundtrack. Dan Terminus is close enough :p

Soon, my friend ;) I'd love to use that music in Doom maps (The Uncanny Valley is one of my favourites and I think it could fit well), it's just a matter of putting in the time and effort to make it happen, the former of which I'm currently lacking a lot of at the moment, unfortunately. Mark my words, though, it will happen in good time.
