Nvidia isn't going to use the name geforce for its new generation card (NV30 and NV35). the names "omen".. and "eclipse" are the names you hear alot when you read a article about the NV30 and 35.. mayby they are codenames.

"Eclipse" was registered by ATI some time ago, so it's no longer a possibility for Nvidia.

Here's what I recommend: Wait for the Radeon 9700 which will be out next week. ATi's drivers are fine. If your dead-set on getting the Geforce5, get a Radeon 9000 Pro or a Radeon 8500 as a holder card. They can be had for about $100 and prefrom well in todays games. If you want to stick strictly to NVidia, grab a Gefroce3 Ti 500.
