"It's me. I'm stuck here inside this demon-possessed base. My name is Lieutenant Mark Connor, and I was with the other guys when we landed. I'm not sure if the other guys are still around or even alive. I hope to God they are. I'm in a small room with flashing lights, and every time they strobe off, I think I'm going to be attacked again. I wish they would kill me and get it over with. I heard gunshots just a few minutes ago. It could be Corporal Taggart. He was outside the base when all this happened. I heard over my radio the gunshots, and the screams, and the nearly total silence. Then, 2 hours ago, I heard shotgun blasts. Two blasts, and then two zombies were killed. It couldn't be the zombies. They can't fire so well. One of those big pink things with yellow eyes slashed me in the gut with his teeth, and left me here for dead. God, I hope I get off of here. I can't die.....I just can't. I'm only 31 years old. I still have a life as a Space Marine.
I'm talking on about this because I'm bored to death, and terrified to death."
<Gunshots>
"I hear'em. The zombies are getting closer. (talks lower)
I heard one of'em scream. I hope he's dead." (Footsteps) (Groaning of zombie) "Die, you bastard!", hollers Connor as he stands up to kill the zombie. (Shotgun blast) (Pistol fires off three rounds) (Another shotgun blast, and Connor is unexpectedly and suddenly dead) THUMP!
Voice log drops to the ground. The zombie eyes it stupidly, and shambles off.
Two minutes later, Taggart blasts the zombie that killed Connor, and takes the shells from the zombie's shotgun. Then he notices Connor's Voice-Log, an elctronic journal that automatically stores everything you say into it, and picks it up. He turns it on and listens to it. He rewinds to the last few seconds of Connor's life. "I hear'em. The zombies are getting closer. (talks lower) I heard one of'em scream. I hope he's dead." (Footsteps) (Groaning of zombie) "Die, you bastard!" (Shotgun blast) (Pistol fires off three rounds) (Another shotgun blast, and Connor's dead) THUMP! (Clatter of Voice-Log hitting concrete floor)
"Dammit!! If I could somehow have gotten here just a few seconds earlier, Connor would still be alive! DAMMIT TO HELL!", we hear Taggart scream. "This gives another good reason to kill those demonic-creature bastards!! They killed my friend!!! They're gonna pay for this!!", Taggart yells to himself. Taggart straps the VL to his ammo-belt, and storms off, intent of revenge.
