snapshot Posted January 26, 2016 Besides MM8BDM and SRB2, are there any other games based on Doom engine that aren't violent ? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Blastfrog Posted January 26, 2016 I feel like this topic has been done before. Chex Quest is one example of a Doom engine game that isn't violent. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shadow Hog Posted January 26, 2016 I mean, we had that "non-disturbing Doom" thread just this month... Adventures of Square, maybe? I mean, in a sense it's incredibly violent, but at the same time shapes apparently don't have viscera in the same way we do, so everything just explodes into globs of colored goo instead of blood, muscle and bones. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

cybdmn Posted January 27, 2016 It's a shame, that Foreverhood never gets finished. I liked it much. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Voros Posted January 27, 2016 1- SRB2 (gets updates, bug fixes, etc.) 2- Chex Quest 3 (revised version) 3- Chex Quest (the FIRST non violent version of Doom) That's basically the MAIN list of N-V Doom games. Adventures of Square has PISTOLS, SUBMACHINE GUNS, etc. And has enemies that throw BOMBS, SHOOT GUNS, etc. And has enemies that EXPLODE into goo, like berserk punching demons into mush (and exploding in blood and guts in Brutal Doom). That is too violent to be considered N-V. Cyanosis said:Batman Doom's not that violent. I have no idea how you got that. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

HorrorMovieRei Posted January 27, 2016 Voros said:I have no idea how you got that. Well, it is violent, but it's the kind of violence typical to mainstream comic books and cartoons aimed at older children, which is a huge step down from the heavy metal, b-movie violence of Doom. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
