Koko Ricky Posted February 5, 2016 I don't take Demolition Man seriously, but I love it and have seen it several times because it's just well put together. It's exciting and it's kind of smart despite being a dopy early 90s sci-fi/comedy/action romp. Doom is just put together so poorly that I can't even enjoy it as a big dumb picture. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
zinkai Posted February 5, 2016 Meh I liked the film, just a shame they called it doom. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Fonze Posted February 5, 2016 I'd like to hear a reboot with The Rock as the marine, as it should have been (though Urban is a great actor and did good for the role). I don't care how they'd tie it in (since the same actor would be in both) or if they'd tie it in at all. Hell, I'd be okay with a Doom reboot in which Sarge died and went to Hell and now he's gotta fight zombies and demons and shit. Hey, Id never said the Doomguy was a "good guy" and it'd fit in well with him loving to kill shit. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I think there was some kind of poetic irony to the infamous comic depicting Doomguy as an outright sadist psychopath who revels in violence. That's as good an angle as any. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
