Hunting4r2d2 Posted August 14, 2020 How about this: The city levels in Doom 2 are cool, they just offer a much more unique and explorative form of level design. 5 Share this post Link to post
Chip Posted August 14, 2020 Jokemaps are never funny. I only like one-liners or stories that are jokes. most jokewads are slapstick or are cruel. 1 Share this post Link to post
IrOn7HuB Posted August 14, 2020 I try to survive with my rough life until we can experience any game build from the cancelled Doom game from 2011-2012. I've played much the other games, but that's another DOOM game i want to try. 1 Share this post Link to post

I mean, yes, but IMO they can be so confusing and/or frustrating that overshadows it. 2 Share this post Link to post

I've always just liked the idea of being lost in a warped, demon infested city where you have to figure out how to move on to the next section. I do agree that they are a lot less refined compared to other Doom levels. 0 Share this post Link to post

CasualScrub Posted August 14, 2020 I wish more of Tom Hall's ideas and concepts were able to be explored in the original game. I know that the team and Carmack specifically wanted to keep the game simple overall, but I don't think at least implementing some of the ideas in the Doom Bible would've taken away from the great game that Doom was and is. 5 Share this post Link to post

That's not really controversial. 1 Share this post Link to post
Endless Posted August 15, 2020 I hate the small delay the rocket launcher has. I have taken some much dmg and even died because of it. For better illustration. 2 Share this post Link to post
Toilet_Wine_Connoisseur Posted August 16, 2020 slaughterwads were never creative to begin with and have somehow only stagnated since. Nothing makes my eyes glaze over in boredom faster than seeing a big immaculately designed area stuffed to the gills with as many monsters as possible. 8 Share this post Link to post
baronofgibbitude Posted August 18, 2020 I prefer Doom over Doom 2 aesthetic-wise. I hate how dull 2 looks with all the brown and grey textures. It doesn't have to be neon with super bright colors, but a little more vibrancy wouldn't have hurt. 3 Share this post Link to post

I just have a tendency to get lost in maps anyways, even when figuring out what to do is easy, so I'm personally not a fan. 0 Share this post Link to post
URROVA Posted August 19, 2020 Stolen music. I mean, one thing is to base yourself on topics that you like, and quite another thing is to plagiarize them completely, or to lower a half tone to a note ... Oh, and the ones that aren't plagiarized are boring. 0 Share this post Link to post
Endless Posted August 21, 2020 FINAL DOOM Soundtrack is better than Doom 1 & 2. And Sign of Evil is better than everything. 5 Share this post Link to post

I mean, the inherent dimensions and features possible mean lots of potential for interesting encounters and gimmicks. Valiant's MAP06 is a shining example. This a million times. City levels are the single most underrated map archetype. 0 Share this post Link to post

No offense, but that's almost so controversial it borders on not making any sense at all, lol. TNT doesn't even have a full musical score... and Plutonia doesn't have any score at all, hah. 1 Share this post Link to post

It's available for many consoles, and without the ammo limitation you can use more the power weapons as plasma, BFG and Chaingun without hestistation. 0 Share this post Link to post
