Spent the coin on Newegg for an EVGA GTX 970. I hope to enjoy Doom once I finally have the coin for that as well. No idea when it will be here, especially considering the current Canada Post strike at the moment. But it's on its way.

What did you pay for that 970? The RX 480 is almost identical performance for typically $100 less than 970s... though the RX 480 is pretty well out of stock everywhere right now.

Doom prefers the 970 over the RX 480 anyway.

I was considering the RX 480 for a long time. But after seeing evidence that it doesn't really do as well as the 970 most of the time coupled with stories from friends that AMD's drivers are still whack, I decided I couldn't do it and had to stick with nVidia.
