Dutch Doomer Posted November 27, 2016 Almost done updating this map, sits around 95% finished now. Just want to fix some monster closets, and tweak gameplay some more. Then its on to some playtesting. Original map was started in 2008. Probably going to be part of a mapset which will have some miscellaneous maps I still got lying around all pretty much finished. As a stand alone map its too small. Might change the sky but I'm not sure yet. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Fonze Posted November 27, 2016 Looking sweet Dutch! Gotta love that wintery goodness. I look forward to playing it at some point! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Dutch Doomer Posted November 27, 2016 Try to get out there this year, might be a mapset of maybe 6 or 7 maps. Wanna clean my plate, and make my unfinsished maps folder less cluttered :) Seriously neclected my Doom hobby, just fragging busy with other stuff, times changing, life looks different now. Anyway onto my map again. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
durian Posted November 27, 2016 Gnarly. Those trees with the heads/helmets hanging from them are superb! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
NiGHTMARE Posted December 11, 2016 PS this level works in any limit removing port, and yes those are 3D floors: 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
NinjaLiquidator Posted December 12, 2016 Nightmare: If it works in limit removing, then those are carefully done midtextures. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Bauul Posted December 12, 2016 I've been very slowly getting my head around GZDoom's various effects to try and create a misty kind of swamp opening to my gothic Quake-inspired cathedral map. It's actually turning out a little better than I was worried it would do. I have hanging clouds too that manage to look good in motion, but totally vanish in screenshots unfortunately. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
NeedHealth Posted December 12, 2016 I asked for a mapslot in NOVA III yesterday. I haven't heard from an_mutt(I'm guessing he's the project leader) yet but I couldn't wait for the say-so -- I was having to much fun with this map ! If I get an okay I'll release a demo of the first area to prove that I am actually is working on something :-P. ... If nothing else, I'll release the map exactly two weeks after the full map set is out, I hope that is okay. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Spectre01 Posted December 12, 2016 Hopefully I can finish this thing in a few more days. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

LordTestes Posted December 16, 2016 Hi people, I am a Doom lover as well as an artist of various sorts. I wanted to get some light out on a project I'm working on. I use multiple texture packs in my levels, as well as some from BTSX (without permission, however Esselfortium said he would release the texture pack after BTSX E3 for public use, so I should be golden since my WAD will be completed after BTSX E3 is out). I am a one man team so far. I started making this map as an amateur, first time map maker. It used to be a giant map (it still kind of is), but it was broken up into 3 separate maps due to complaint of being too large. As I created more maps, they became MUCH more sophisticated and even had to split the newer maps since I made them fairly large as well. All of the levels I've made are interconnected, and are all BETAs due to me going back and adding bits and pieces to make some of the level transitioning and splitting smoother. I will add more pics of other levels, but they will only be in blueprint view due to the BTSX textures used. This WAD is a fairly hard WAD, and at this time is called Descent into Pandemonium To Esselfortium: If you still need a mapper for BTSX E3, I would be honored to add in to your masterpiece. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
LordTestes Posted December 16, 2016 Map 4 and Map 5 (combined since maps are interconnected...plus with the giant pit it was hard to capture both maps separately) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
LordTestes Posted December 16, 2016 Map 6 and Map 7 (combined for image, since both levels are interconnected) Hopefully I'll be able to post Map 8 in the next month or 2. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
