The Bug Posted October 26, 2020 (edited) A wad with a drawn-ish style. And i want to mention how to access all the weapons 1- Plank with nail and Drill 2- Pistol and Revolver 3- Double barreled shotgun (the regular shotgun was moved to slot 8 for testing) 4- Sniper rifle and sub-machine gun 5- Rocket launcher 6- Plasma pistol (work in progress) 7- S.E.P.C. (semi electric plasma cannon) 8- Shotgun (will be moved to slot 3) If there are 2 weapons in the same slot, just press the slot button twice like the shotgun and super shotgun. Remember to try out the alt fires. LordEntr0py Posted October 30, 2020 (edited) NaNoWriMo looms, so I'm bidding a temporary farewell to my ongoing project, Hell's Farthest Shore. I decided to start with E2M5 (Command Centre) and I've been working on it now for 4 months (a couple of hours most days). It's been an epic learning journey for me. Every location has gone through multiple iterations as I've improved and evolved my style. The map also includes a sub-quest for the blue skullkey which will unlock the secret exit to Fortress of Mystery (exit to that is the large structure on the far West). Since I'm designing this in Boom format and can't message the player directly, signposting the sub-quest has made for an interesting challenge. Unfinished sections are Northeast, North and West. Mr. LBN Posted November 1, 2020 This was one of the first maps I made for a project I'm "working" on that was supposed to be the 4th map to the first Episode. I completely redid it (see 2nd image) and made it the 2nd map of Episode 2 Here's the completely revamped version (Below) This was supposed to be the opening map to Episode2 and was one of my most powerful maps at the time. Decided to completely redo it and wanted it to be the opening map of Episode 2, but it turned out to be longer than expected (My UV-Max time was around 10:30sec and I was shooting for a 3min map). Kyukon Posted November 2, 2020 (edited) I'm working on the first level of another wad. My first wad's Map01 was pretty generic, so here's hoping for a less boring Map01. I will be aiming to make all levels that can be completed in around 10 minutes or less in this one too. Also upgraded from Doom Builder 2 to Ultimate Doom Builder. History: I opened GZDoom Builder, made 2 overlapping squares, textured them, thought of the progression, made the rest. Less details than my first map, but themes other than techbase are not ripe for detailing. Also has optional areas! smeghammer Posted November 6, 2020 (edited) Been tidying up my WADs. Added a TITLEPIC and episode to MAPINFO for each. I found some nice Doom TrueType fonts so the titlepics look pretty cool now: ** EDIT ** Forgot Crush Depth! Adding Tubeworm: They all start at MAP15 now so I can display a main menu entry for the episode (even for the single map WADs).
