HorseJockey Posted November 17, 2022 (edited) This is more of an experiment than anything else. I decided to sketch out some textures with sharpie and micron pens real quick and slap them into Doom. It's part of a WAD where I'm giving myself one day to finish each map, so it's kind of a speedmap but not really. ENEMY!!! Posted November 19, 2022 (edited) Revisited a partially finished mod that I'd been working on in 2020 and abandoned, probably due to a mix of perfectionism and discovering the K8Vavoom engine (this mod relies heavily on Xaser's Eriguns and therefore ZScript, so it's rather GZDoom-specific). I returned to it and discovered that it was much further advanced than I realized. Here's brief footage of a modded Hell Warrior and the Impalator - essentially a Doomified version of Hexen's Porkalator. I'd started mapping for it primarily with OTEX and not got very far, but I intend to use Ben "Makkon" Hale's Quake textures extensively for the upcoming map design. The feel and gameplay of these maps are turning out to be similar to the 'kINDA' project but with lessons learnt. OverflowingMocha Posted November 23, 2022 (edited) Been sketching out some DM maps from time to time, here's a layout I got going in like an hour, taking some resources and inspiration from Exec DM. I do have 7 complete DM maps that I will put into one wad, just like this one I might do a few more maps to get to 11. :) Edit: Got 9 finished maps now, including this nice layout using some UDMX resources that I made in like, 30 minutes. Chookum Posted November 25, 2022 I've been working on the three bonus maps for HEADLESS CHICKEN. I am so glad to have MAP33: A-X: Pleasure Dome close to the finish line after being one of the first maps I tried making, started on 17/05/21 according to my notes. I think by the time it's done it'll have 3000+ monsters for you to whip into shape. Spoiler And for MAP32: A-2: (Kill) The Mall, it's been great to plan and execute a high concept into chop-till-you-drop free-range slaughtermapping. I just finished doing all the buildings around the mall. I've got a lot of custom textures to create for funny. I think there'll be at least 2500 monsters in this map by the time I'm done.
