Some pictures of an Egyptian themed wad I'm working on since the last few months. It will be a 6 maps set.

It should be out by the end of Summer if everything goes well.

Working on a TC project. It will be something of a colorful sci-fi themed mod with light fantasy aspects.

 

All the weapons, items, and enemies will be custom. I'm using a set of 3D model creatures I've collected during my various experiments with Unity. I've done various modifications to them, touched them up to have "8-bit color palette" feel, and motion captured into them sprite sets. Here's a preview picture:

 

All of the featured creatures have a complete set of sprites I've already got setup in a PK3. Some of their scaling is mismatched (I'm going Build Engine style it seems). Its just a matter of getting all the scripting setup (a lot of ZScript work), getting all the other assets setup, and getting a proof of concept stage setup.

Playing around with this "melted snow in an industrial area" look for this map I'm working on set in a big abstract water processing plant. I'm unsure as to whether it looks like melting snow or like the map is covered in random blobs of ice cream.

Continue to work on the verge of vanilla limits. 75% of the visual is done, and after that it's just a matter of balancing enemies and items. I hope to release this map in two weeks.

Here's a bigger overview of the above map I posted. This is an experiment in creating a map with as few doors and corridors as possible. The idea is to basically create a map that feels like only one area.

 

 

I'm tentatively calling it Chokehold, which is inspired by this song from my current AOTY leader.

Early enemy tests are going well. Still very early alpha, so a lot of rough edges and testing them in vanilla DOOM stages:

 

There will not be any hitscan "bullets" in this mod.

OH THIS MAAAP~!! the WIP one you showed me during RAMP~! god, this looks so cool~! I'm so glad I got to see it back then, because it really showed me how my outdoor layouts still needed a lot of work, it was a valuable learning experience~!
