This is bittersweet. Option B is an almost flawless rendition of what should be facing the new generation of gamers on the store shelves, it states what Doom and older action games are all about a hell of a lot better than the so called COD/Halo cover.

The only thing I would change about option B would be to have Doomguy's buddy in the background somewhere, like in the original cover; possibly dodging a fireball while simultaneously blasting a hole in an imp that's trying to sneak up on the badass in the foreground. I love how he's choking that imp into total submission this time.

I really reeeaallllyyy like B, but I might lean towards A the more I look at both. Not because I necessarily favor one over the other but because it's something new I guess. Really dig the dark hellish look big time. I personally think it would be cool *IF* they were actually choosing both sides of the box art to make A the cover and B the nostalgia rush..

I like how they present this as reverse covers instead of just admitting the original one was shit.

None of the options are very good to be honest, but I also voted for Option A, not because I necessarily like it, but because it's different.

Option B borrows too much from DOOM, it's a cheap shot.

I wonder how they'll fix the steelbooks.

They haven't changed anything other than cosmetic qualities as far as I've seen. I haven't seen any changes as far as gameplay is concerned so I'm not sure it's really something to be worried about. It's nice to see that they pay attention and care enough to please the fans with little tweaks like color and artwork. Maybe we should be a bit more grateful that they did cater to the fans a bit :)

The gun that he's holding seems like the same one shown in the Cover , but that's just my guess .
