Gzegzolka Posted March 15, 2016 I have some ideas, just ideas. I do not know if it will be possible to make them in snapmap. Survival type single-player game - like Soma, Alien Isolation or Amnesia. You play as engineer or scientist, somebody without military training. Game would start a few minutes before opening portal, just like first level of Doom3 or half-life. Game would be based on avoiding monsters and running to safe hideouts if they find You. To progress You would need to collect different tools to unlock doors and remove obstacles. Sometimes You could use environment to kill or lock Your opponents. On later levels You learn how to use guns, You can hold only two at once in Your inventory. When ammo runs out gun will be jammed and useless, You can not reload them. I wonder if it would be possible to add many optional goals, scavenging, eat/drink/sleep system and item engineering. Survival type 2-3-4 player game - just like above, but with more action, at start You choose different class. role for Your characters. Each class got it own unique skill/items that can unlock new ways. You can grab max 4 guns, still if ammo run out You lose gun. There is more guns on map, so this should not be problem. Just like in Left 4 Dead You will face hordes of zombies, there should be also special zombies. Puzzle-exploration game - Portal clone - You are UAC scientist assigned to test group, You will be solving different puzzles, obstacles, testing guns on fire-range or with other subjects in safe laboratory areas. With time You will start testing jet engine so You will earn jet-pack for double jumps. Much later You are introduced to teleportation experiments. At this point game will become darker, Your co-workers will go crazy and insane, accidents will start to happen between tests. Maybe You will even be teleported to other dimension and discover it is hell. Stealth based game - You are Lost Soul from hell. Humans invade Your home and kill or kidnap other demons. You are angry, have to escape from lab, free Your kind. You can use magic to enter and take control over different UAC staff, You do that because each class can do different stuff to unlock way and You need to avoid detection. Your goal is to destroy security stations and release demons from their cages. You can not stay in human body for too long and You can not infest them when their are in group, You need to pick alone targets. Maybe later You could have some kind of evolution cycle, find strong soldier, infest him, become zombie, evolve into imp, than, hell knight and finally hell baron. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gzegzolka Posted March 15, 2016 Arcade survival area mode - something like Painkiller or Devil Daggers. At start You pick one gun. Than You pick area. Your gun is upgraded each time You kill enough demons. At first it is slow and have to be reload, than Your shoots become more powerful and reload speed is eliminated, at third tier You earn alternative fire modes, than those modes become more powerful too. Game mode is based on speed and skill, there is no gore executions, demons sometimes drop very small amount of health like 5-10 hp pick ups, at most time they drop nothing so if You fail at killing them You will die fast, no lucky demon "pinata" with 50hp pick-up drop. Areas are simple one room. With Your game they evolve too, walls hide in floor or other rooms become open. Floor sometimes move and walls could move too to change how area look, so it can start like something flat and later become something more advanced with two layers and hole inside. But never as big as multi-player maps, it's always one big room with sometimes few small rooms that can be opened and corridors that could join those small rooms/big room and finally become one area.
