Li'l devil Posted March 21, 2016 So, in my map I want to create a very long staircase. Like, very very long. It will have like 128 steps in it. And changing floor height of every step is ridiculously tedious. So, is there a more efficient way of creating a long staircase? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Cacowad Posted March 21, 2016 There is a stair builder plugin for doombuilder here: http://www.doombuilder.com/index.php?p=plugins but i never figured out how to make decently curved stairs whitout some manual adjustments afterwards. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
scifista42 Posted March 21, 2016 In GZDoomBuilder, use "Draw Grid Mode" to generate sectors of individual stairs all at once, then use "Make Floor Height Gradient" to set their height automatically after selecting them. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Li'l devil Posted March 21, 2016 So, this Draw Grid mode is only in GZDoomBuilder? I think I should've started using GZDoomBuilder long ago.. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
scifista42 Posted March 21, 2016 "Draw Grid Mode" is only in GZDoom Builder (not sure if it's available for DB2 as a plugin or not), but "Make Floor Height Gradient" is in Doom Builder 2 too. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
kuchitsu Posted March 21, 2016 Wow, learned about a new mode today. Thanks, seems pretty useful. Are there hotkeys for changing the nubmer of slices quickly? Or do you have to do it with mouse? edit: OK, so hold Ctrl of Shift and scroll the mouse wheel. Nice... This seems a lot easier to control than the Stair Sector Builder Mode. I still have no idea what it really does, it just multiplies sectors in a weird way. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
