What happened to doom2.net?

doom2.net is down. According to the Wayback Machine, it's been down since January.

Anybody have any idea why? Is it down for good, or might it come back?

Man, quite a few Doom sites are going down this year it seems.

The monsters section on that site was probably the most interesting thing about it, I have no idea how they came up with those descriptions but it gave a very scientific and 'natural' approach to the Hellspawn.

It just occurred to me yesterday that the D64 Absolution TC is hosted on Doom2.net, crap. Good thing I still have my copy.
