Question about Strife's plot (spoilers inside!)

Can anyone tell me how exactly Blackbird learned about Macil's betrayal? Once you shut down cyborg factory she suddenly claims out of the blue that he purposefully sent his people to die. Is it somehow explained where she had learnt about it?

I have the idea that Strifeguy isn't the only person to have a communicator, she's probably monitoring other Front agents simultaneously.

Thanks for the replies. I must say it was sort of "random". I expected it to be somehow connected with other events instead of providing a reason to kill Macil all of a sudden.
