Yup. Brutal Doom is like Communism. Sounds good on paper, but when applied to Doom it shit outs nothing and the whole community gets divided on it, a bloody civil war ensues (see Yugoslavia for example of this (no offense to any Yugoslavian Doomers)), and then people are left wondering why they fuck they even bothered with it in the first place.

Anyway, half of those idiots on Steam don't even remotely know anything about our forums or the Zandronum forums.

And quite frankly, good riddance. They are inept incompetent inbred lofty imbeciles who hate the new Doom simply because it's new and it's different. Yes, I know the multiplayer probably sucked in their eyes, but quite frankly it was the BETA you know? BETA as in not finished yet! They are probably going to fix a lot of the issues that the players have been complaining about. If they added in a weapon pickup system that would be nice.

On top of that, they have this belief that Brutal Doom is the only way to play Doom. Which is downright insane. Beautiful Doom is a much more beautifully crafted mod IMHO. I mean don't get me wrong, I won't lie that shooting a dude point blank with a SSG and seeing them get blown away in half is satisfying as fuck...

But Beautiful Doom has a MUCH BETTER gib system IMHO and the gore in it is just more satisfying to me. =)

Then again that's just me. Also I'm going to selflessly self-promote my sub-mod SDND (Sporadic Deaths and Decorations). In short, the only complaint I really have is that we haven't seen any new SP or Snapmap footage yet. Though on 4/25 and 4/27 they plan on unveiling footage, as well as at PAX East so we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm hoping we see a decent amount of stuff on those days. I'm pretty sure the large focus on the multiplayer for a good while caused some people on steam to think the beta was showing all the game had (or something of that sort).
