How Do You Make A Working Door For A WAD In Hexen Format?

I've been trying to get my door to work, but I can't figure it out. Does anyone know how to get a door to work properly for a WAD in ZDoom (Doom in Hexen) format? I'm using Doom Builder 2.

What you have to look out for in Hexen format:

You set the door's speed, delay and activation type explicitly. That's why there's only two types: Door_Raise and Door_Open.

The most frequent error is possibly not setting the activation type, and type 0 happens to be walkover, not switch.

I think you have all the information you need here.

Also, make sure your linedefs are pointing outward toward the player by pressing F on them. This is easy to overlook.

After all of what was mentioned, your door should work.

Door_Raise if the door is supposed to close again, Door_Open if it's supposed to stay open.
