GZDOOM 1.x/ 2.x?

GZDoom 2.x requires OpenGL 3.x. 1.x is meant for older hardware that only supports GL 2.1 and some ATI cards that support GL 3.x but their drivers are too broken.

The functional differences are that 2.x is a bit faster on supported hardware, that hardware clipping planes are being used in a few cases for proper display (like splitting a model when touching a transparent surface) and that the method to render dynamic lights is different (2.x uses a shader, 1.x uses multiple texturing passes.)

Speaking of the 64 bit version (r1403), why do I not see BASSMIDI as a music playback option?

I can't look into your system so I don't know why it thinks it's not eligible. Maybe a 64 bit incompatibility? I have no idea.

What's odd is that prior dev versions had it there just fine and doing a quick check is the 32 bit version shows it just fine. Maybe BASSMIDI isn't really 64 bit compatible?
