VGamingJunkie Posted April 28, 2016 I hope the actual unlocked full levels have lighting because the full brightness really detracts from the level structure, in my opinion. It shows a lack of effort on their part, in my opinion, like a Classic Doom easter-egg is just an afterthought, something they don't care enough to actually do well. When you can get something like this from a modder absolutely free: When time and care are taken to tweak the original design to be more modern and believable without sacrificing the actual design on a free mod and a commercial company is just copying and pasting walls and flats without any changes, I at least expect faithfulness to the original. The fully bright environments really do detract from those levels in my opinion, considering part of the drive of Doom back in the day was being able to have moody darkly lit environments, something Wolf 3D couldn't. The whole point of the copy and paste Classic Doom levels is to enjoy the original design and having such glaring visual errors makes that slightly difficult.
