Dragonfly Posted May 12, 2016 I took a quick peek and honestly didn't enjoy what I saw. Two generic introductions of 10 seconds each at the start of the video? Nobody wants to watch that. Take Youtube user ICARUSLIV3S as a better example of how long your intro clip should be in it's entirety. Now, take this as personal opinion - I feel that much like 'top 5 best plays videos' (CoD, LoL, whatever) of other video games you'll find that in a very short space of time, the content becomes much of the same and naturally becomes very boring. Do bare in mind that watching 10 glory kills per video will be boring, some skillful gun-play, long distance shots or really unexpected scenarios will make for much more interesting videos; but you are at the mercy of what people send you - I'd also suggest not limiting yourself to multiplayer videos, but that's definitely your choice and may not meet the scope of your channel. On the point of people sending you video clips - I'd recommend people using services such as WeTransfer to save eating up all of your email storage on a handful of videos. Oh, lastly the music really makes the video feel like it's trying to cater to the audience of teenage CoD virgins who claim they 'banged ur mom last night'. I don't mean to put you down with this post, I think some love for the new game is great and if done right (and based on the game's success) your channel could take off! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doom Cinema Posted May 12, 2016 Thanks for your honest opinion and advice this will help me improve Do you think people "need" to talk in videos to be entertaining 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Dragonfly Posted May 12, 2016 You're welcome! I do not think that talking is necessary, but it certainly can add value. I'm going to sound vain here, but it depends who is talking. Without meaning to sound like some elitist prick, if you have a really dorky, hard to understand voice or are noticeably young, it will more likely put people off than keep them interested - by this logic, I wouldn't use my voice at all! With a top X plays video it's not needed by any means, it should be obvious what was good about the clip without someone explaining over the top of the footage. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doom Cinema Posted May 12, 2016 I get ya...I don't know if my voice would be good for it either and I don't have the equipment so I would rather not. Im having a hard time getting a super fast intro and have everything not look so amateur...Guess I have work to do ;D Ill prob end up changing everything and uping my game 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Dragonfly Posted May 12, 2016 Visually it was all very good, actually. Just the intro's length. I'd try to combine both logos into a single clip, side by side rather than two separate clips. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doom Cinema Posted May 12, 2016 Maybe I only need the Goblin Gaming One...And I could shorten it...Honestly Goblin Gaming will be the name that ties all my channels together anyway 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doom Cinema Posted May 12, 2016 I think you were right on your original post...It just needs a bit of tweaking and professional feel...Thx again 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
