What are the exact differences in the different difficulty levels?

I'm very curious how they differ, do I get less stuff with performing glory kills than in easier levels?

do demons have more HP in higher difficulty levels? do they shoot more often or are they more aggressive?

how much more damage do demons do?

I thought my wife would take turns playing it so we started on the easiest skill but modern console shooter controls are too complex for her. After I played it for a while I switched to ultra violence. The most specific change I noticed is that you pretty much dont take any damage on easy. The monsters are still fast as shit and jump all over the place but pretty much any time they hurt you it does somewhere between 2 and 10 damage every time.

It really didn't teach the concept of glory killing for health because I never needed it so I just kinda stood around smacking everything and glorykilling everyone because it was easier than shooting them.

The amount of armor and health you get from pick ups are greatly diminished depending on difficulty level, Ultra Violence for reference gives you a +5 with an armor shard, Nightmare and Ultra Nightmare only give you a +1.

The enemies also hit harder, you'll often find your 150 armor will become 40 in one or two attacks.

I'm pretty sure shards only give you +3 on UV.

Other than that enemies have more hp on Nightmare and Marty said in one of the streams that enemy AI is more aggressive on higher difficulties. From my experience that is something best seen on the Imps as they will swarm and flank you more on UV than they do on HMP.

ya I'm not far into nightmare, but Imps love rushing and chain smacking me where they didn't do that much in UV. It feels like they get a slight hp buff, or they're faster I can't tell yet, all I know is hmp, uv and nm all in the same order felt like they required more aim. They're damage for each increase though goes significantly for each increase. I'm sorry as I don't have exact numbers yet.
