I'm getting the implication that the armour for the characters was going to be more like the spacesuits shown in the document, not like the marine design we got in the end. Something about the character being decked out in some sort of bulky spacesuit to fight would've been awesome, especially if Tei Tenga didn't really have an atmosphere.

I was intrigued by the idea of realistic layouts based on actual military installations, I think combining that with the finished product's abstract approach would have been neat.

I like the original concept of the start level, out of service Hangars where all sort of stuff is stored and the marines play cards in their free time. The layout was much more sprawling then e1m1 and later became Spawning Vats in the final game.
