Gamepad on Glboom/Prboom plus

I wanted to use a PS3 on prboom/glboom plus (the last version). I enabled the joystick from the menu but it doesn't work. Is there a way to make a PS3 gamepad work on prboom plus ?

This is quick and dirty solution if no one else can help you, but I use a program someone recommended to me called "xpadder" which allows you to map gamepad buttons to your keyboard and mouse.

Yeah xpadder or joy2key will work in a pinch, unfortunately that will not afford good thumb stick controls. If you are open to using zdoom or a derivative however you will find great options. I can't check now but maybe see what kind of support Eternity Engine has.

I often use GZDoom and yes it has plenty of option for gamepads. Also a thing that I discovered recently is that you can "imitate" basically every aspect of GLboom+ with GZDoom.
