Voros Posted June 29, 2016 Why not? It is changing HUD elements. It should be compatible with almost every map out there. Like a small patch. There are many HUD mods out there and all of them run fine in any map. The HUD and maps are seperate things. Plus who said it had to be built in with the wad? The automap is a great example of this, as it is generated on the go with ray casting(right?). Same concept with a minimap. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

The existence of minimaps has never "made me lazy" as a level designer, not sure what that's all about. There's already the transparent overlay option so you can shoot stuff while having the map up.
