A new version of Wintex (ver 4.5) has just been posted to CDROM.COM

It is still listed in the "newstuff" on the doomworld main page.

My personal recommendation would be to try DeePsea. As well as being a level editor it has extensive wad handling tools including a full suite of importing and exporting routines. (Hit the F7 button to find them.)

The shareware version can be found at:

The SW version is limited so only relatively small maps can be saved, but all other functions are fully operational for you to try.

I just Downloaded WinTeX 2000.. is that the right one?
If it's not, I'll go to the sites suggested by Enjay.
But now I got a new problem. How do I use this? I apologize for my ignorance.

you need a doom or doom II iwad, so select it on the bottom menu (the one that says view pwad) and select your iwad. you'll get a list of all the files in the doom or doom 2 iwad, to find the graphics, clich on the little icon on the bottom with the green dude and there are tyour sprites. In the edit menu there is "save file as" use this to save it to your hard drive
