Gotta admit, i don't know what the fuck i'm going to do and i don't know how to get the BFG, until i realized that i have to shoot the damn lasers in order to retreived The Big Fucking Gun. I was standing at the corner in the BFG room for like 30 minutes! XD

Nearly the same here. I thought I have to shoot them, shot at them and was sure I hit them (basically impact smoke directly on the thing you have to shoot), and no reaction. So I guessed it's some kind of "jump at the right time" puzzle. Died about five or six time to it, until I tried shooting the lasers again, and bamm, it worked.

And I am so damn sure I hit them the first time when nothing happened...(at least that's what I tell myself)

Trial and error, I died the first time then noticed I had to shoot out the laser spots on the wall the second or third attempt.

Made me feel like a complete idiot when I discovered the solution, after having wasted my time jumping around like a monkey, especially considering how colour-coded the game is.

I always did have a habit of over-thinking things.

The lazers, I didn't think of shooting what's behind them, Ergh i just thought it would be a simply parkour and lazer evasion game, took me 2 days to realize that lol .

after ten minutes of standing in the corner I sprayed hr rockets around, got lucky and hit a laser then figured it out. It was one of the only spots in the game that took me a little bit to figure out sadly.

I actually got the puzzle the moment I saw the red lights illuminating the laser grid, I also jumped on the platforms before the floor collapsed, guess it was out of instinct XD

I did the same mistake, 3 goddamn times.

When i first encountered the BFG, I got overexcited and double jumped onto its container. I didnt see the lasers coming down. Those lasers killed me.

Second Attempt: I get it. I jumped on the sidewalls and shot down all lasers. But i made a very silly mistake: I forgot to double jump and died from fall damage.

Third Attempt: Same as the first one. Wrong jump timing.

I finally got it on the 4th attempt.

There's another part in the super tall tower level where you have to shoot these little notches in an elevator shaft to make the elevator car fall down so you can advance to the next part. I spent like 45 minutes backtracking through that whole tower trying to figure out what to do until I figured it out from some dumb luck. In a game that has been otherwise devoid of shoot switch puzzles, that part pissed me off.

That was my first thought when I got into the BFG elevator. "Hey, I did something like this a few levels ago, oh yeah, Argent Tower with the elevator.".

So I shot the lasers, and it worked. Took about two seconds to make the connection, with the elevator it took about 5, before I noticed the couplings were glowing red.

It did remind me of Half-Life, and I guess that helped me out, in that I had to think about it for a few seconds. I was going to say the game didn't give me a hand, but the glowing couplings was kind of a dead give away.
