Interesting that the shotgun design of Doom 2016 was actually carried over from the scrapped version. It would seem that the zombies in the final game were derived from it as well, and the demon featured is pretty clearly what would eventually become the Prowler.

I hope some actual gameplay footage comes to light just so I can gleefully overanalyze the hell out of it. The animatic using the old game's assets is still kinda neat, though.
