MancubusBruiser1988 Posted September 8, 2016 I am using gzdb Hexen format and whenever I put a slope above anything else made in the map it wipes out the thing built underneath and makes certain textures go blurry and black in that location... Any way to stop this?? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
scifista42 Posted September 8, 2016 The blurry walls are HOMs and you stop them by putting textures onto the respective linedefs on which the HOMs appear - lower textures in case of floor slopes, upper textures in case of ceiling slopes. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
MancubusBruiser1988 Posted September 8, 2016 I may have explained it wrong. So is this possible when something is already built and I want to put a floating slope or platform above it? I have a high tower and putting a slope above it completely wipes out any section I put it above causing the hom effect... It's also making a strange second floor beneath the slope and can only go to a certain height.. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
scifista42 Posted September 8, 2016 I see you're this guy who had trouble with sloped 3D floors, and even though you don't use the term "3D floor" in this thread, I suppose you're actually talking about sloped 3D floors again, and you haven't yet figured out how to make them properly, as the problem you're describing is probably an improperly made sloped 3D floor. Well, I guess you should just learn how they work by reading through some more tutorials about them and by practicing simple ones before trying elaborate ones. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
MancubusBruiser1988 Posted September 8, 2016 Yes.. I learnt how to make simple ones and the past posts I was asking about having multiple levels of tagged 3d floors on top of each other in the same section.. But this time it's more just trying to place one 3d floor above something I've already made like a box for example. Seems to do strange things. Tried multiple things before I post. But yes I will read more into it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
