Thank you so much! I've paletted that Tree1 and the big Eviternity trees that I found to a darker green shade that fits with the foliage of the wad I'm making. I'll add fruits of my labor in a little, but this is the shade I was going for:

I don’t think that’s what most of it is, it appears to be doom textures super imposed over a base.

Yeah, Egg Boy is right. I realized GIMP lets you use whatever’s on the clipboard as a toolbrush, so I created a series of templates I could use to darken/lighten textures to give them the same pattern as METAL2. I also did METAL5 to similar results, and I’ll probably do the lot of the metal textures. I should probably make a texture pack at some point so I can share these conveniently.

 

As far as next months theme goes, someone suggested SUPPORT textures a while ago and I thought that could be a fun one.

this is a nice collection :D I didn't actually make that 4th one, afaik @Sergeant_Mark_IV did? I got them from his Knee Deep in the Jungle wad, but maybe he can tell us the real source definitively

That sounds like a crate idea. Could certainly lend some variety to those levels that seem like they're 25% - 50%
UAC shipping containers.

Last month had some great contributions to the COMP theme, thanks to everyone who participated! Looks like UAC bases all around the 'wad will have a new shipment of screens, panels, gadgets and gizmos available for them to play with. ;)

Of course, we need somewhere to store all this new technology.. which brings us to this month's theme...

June is here!

The prompt/theme this month is CRATE style textures.

Bring out your crates, boxes, containers, chests, coffers, trunks, baskets, receptacles and what have you!
From massive 128x128 shipping containers, to your typical 64x64 big boxes, down to 16x16 tiny cubes and anywhere in-between or beyond, let's see what we can do! :D

 

As with previous months and always, participation in this months theme is entirely optional and voluntary and only serves as a bit of fun communal direction for this thread!


So let's have some fun and jam away :D

Normally you'd only have one 8 px tall pallet at the bottom - I only added the second one to make the texture 128 units tall.

Combining crates on pallets and crates on the ground also allows for more interesting climbable crate setups, as an alternative to the cliched tiny crate staircases.

Somewhat off topic but: what wad is that in the last image where you play as that Imp?

That's Dawn Of The Arrow, my NaNoWADMo 2021 project attempt, which ended up too ambitious to be a one-month thing. I released a one-level version for now, and I post updates on the NaNoWADMo discord now and then.
