Really quick sky texture I did for an oil rig map I'm working on.

1: It's a pretty basic modification of an image you can find off of Google right now.

2: It doesn't actually use a "real" color palette, it's just an auto-generated 64-color limit. I'm mostly posting this to see if anyone's interested in making a version of it that would work in Doom's original color palette, I'm curious what that would look like.

Doompal destroys it completely, so I tried changin a little its HUE in a second version before converting.

I fixed SHAWN1 so that it's now centered correctly and doesn't have the weird patch artifact

Actually, has someone compiled a texture pack that's exclusively just fixed or improved vanilla textures? 'Cause I feel like there's enough weird texture patch artifacts and minor alignment errors to justify something like that.

ive been lurking this thread for god knows how long, so ive decided to give in and contribute myself.

 

here's a bunch of remade doom 2 (and 3 from tnt) textures for a wip total conversion, all free to use (with credit ofc)

 

they're not palleted but they are seamless, and they're supposed to have a more cartoony but still somewhat realistic look.
