I edited the final doom logo to remove the text. The result is a really good door texture. I am currently using it for my plutonia maps

I should let you guys know that I recently discovered the alignment on the buttons is completely wrong, they are *way* too high.

 

I figured I should mention this before anyone tries to make any more variants.

Ohh, I thought you had used a pre-existing texture to make the vending machine, like you had a base 64x96 texture that you drew the window and buttons and slot onto.

I made Doom style versions of a few textures from Commander Keen 4 and (mostly) 6. The 64x64 ones could be used as both flats and wall textures. I plan to make more of these.

The tar ended up looking pretty different from the original graphic, but I like how it turned out anyways.

An amber table. I just have to make this with all the stones that I have decided to create (ruby, sapphire, emerald, marble 1, 2 and 3, granite, opal, citrine, wood and white stone)

I'm sorry for posting so much, I've been in a frenzy and this is probably going to be a texture pack. I decided to ditch the dark wood frame as it would make the project too big, but also because it didn't match well with the stones. I've made some bricks for it too. I'm going to call it gempackd. Once I'm finished with it I'll create a thread in the proper place. I've been too excited about some textures. In the meantime, check these out:

Here is a WAD file with the up to date versions of  textures i posted the last days. I will keep on making other textures and release newer versions of this tiny collection.

 

The WAD contains.

 

- BIGDOOR1 in 80 pixel height.

- BIGDOOR2, 3 and 4 in 96, 104 and 112 pixel height.

- BIGDOOR2, 3 and 4 as 256 pixel wide variant.

- SPCDOOR1 and 2 with 2 modified lower part variants in 80, 88, 96, 104, 112 and 128 pixel height and a green colored version.

- A few monitors and screens with different frames.

- SHAWN2 variants named REACAS without and with different warnsigns

- Server racks with COMPTALL like frames. 

 

I have included a .txt file with some words in it, because i know how many hours and days it could take to make textures and i do not want to be an ass who says that all in this WAD is only his own work.

It was a personal collection for my use, but eventually it is helpful for others.

 

Have fun with it.

I know it, that one ended up much darker, I actually liked that contrast and tried to make the red and blue ones more contrasted but they didn’t look as good.

textures look awesome! I really like the frames you made. I’m a big fan of png style frames and window textures. 
 

also bricks turned out good. I like the mid shade brown colored one a lot.

When you said frames I just had another idea and now it's going to be a slightly bigger project, but thanks for the encouragement.

Small update. The pack is getting pretty big, but also pretty interesting to use, IMO. Where could I release it when I finish?

you can post your pack on idgames archive and if you feel like reaching out to Afterglow you can ask to have your pack posted here!
 

You’ve been on quite a tear, excited to see the full thing. Maybe you can host a little map jam to have people test em out. I can imagine some wild maps with those bright colours and bold lines.

I don't think I'm mature or knowledgeable enough to host a map jam. Even though I've been playing FPS games for a long time, I'm not sure if I could manage the submissions. Still, I'll post one of my own and also wait for submissions in the thread I'll eventually create.

Here are some variants of ""32in24-15 Tex" ressource pack's texture named COMPVENT.

 

With a linedef split in 3 parts (64 units left, multiple of 64 units middle, 64 units right) and texture x alignment of 64 on the right linedef part the textures can be extended with the +1 numbered textures on the middle part.

 

These textures are good for upper parts of presses and lifts.
