Post your Doom textures!

Has anyone done any tree/bark like textures? I could do with a few for my new map, credit will be given of course :-)

Here you go @Liberation. I think I've already made this one seamless, but it's not paletted yet as far as I can tell. Please let me see it in game when you've used it as I haven't even used it yet. :p

I made it oversized on purpose so it could see use outside of doom if needs be. :) Glad it converts well! ^^

You may not think it's a texture, but I'm going to make it one. I have noticed that my philosophical maps are, in some way, received better than my philosophical musings in text format. I suppose it may feel like being given an overwhelming amount of cheese sandwiches as opposed to having a loaf of bread shoved down your throat. At laest to some people... oh well. I can go with that!

You're right- its not a texture- its just a bunch of text slapped onto a small canvas.

Not the place to post this shite. Start making some real textures and come back when you're ready.

I know I'm like a year and a half late here, but these are fucking awesome! I always struggled with using Doom 64's stock textures in good-looking ways, these would add a lot of familiarity when mapping.

I've been trying to use your texture but its big and I can't get the scaling right. However that is down to me learning the ropes with hires textures and udmf scaling craziness.

I have used them more scaled in areas for terrain to fill bits, however trees are proving problematic.

Definitely feel your pain. I think the tree / texture would need to be scaled carefully so that the texture loops _exactly_, which might be more effort than it is worth.

Very nice darker green alternate for the N_GFALLx from NiGHTMARE's Recolored Doom texture pack. If used in truecolor mode, like in Q/GZdoom, it should work well. But if you try to Doom-palette them, there's an issue. The palette for the second one is slightly different than for the other three. That one comes out brown with a touch of green, whereas the other three come out dark green with a brown background. So they won't match in other ports. Not hard to fix, just an FYI.

Has anyone posted SHAWN/SILVER variants that are dirty? I want something like STARTAN3 that looks like something's dripped over the texture and rusted it, but my artistic talent is...lacking.
