Cacodemon187 Posted April 11, 2019 (edited) Here's even more textures I made for my wad! Normal textures: Animated textures (brightmaps included in the wad) : <- This one looks better ingame. They are all free to use btw. Edited April 11, 2019 by Cacodemon187 Forgot to add some other textures lol 18 Quote Share this post Link to post
Nevander Posted April 13, 2019 I've started to create some new Doom 64 texture combinations that are not possible with TEXTURES alone. I want to make at least 16 before I post. These will be featured in Retribution at some point, most likely in the new WIP episode. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
riderr3 Posted April 17, 2019 (edited) I made a few marble textures based on ancient reliefs and statues. Also a switch variation. Edited April 17, 2019 by riderr3 26 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jimmy Posted April 17, 2019 (edited) Those are really cool riderr, although I would go over that head's shading one more time, particularly on the beard, it loses a lot of definition at that size. Edited April 17, 2019 by Jimmy 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
elend Posted April 17, 2019 I especially like the first one with the horse carriage. Very cool! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted April 17, 2019 The doomy skull pattern is a bit incongruous with those, but nice work nonetheless. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

elend Posted April 23, 2019 (edited) I recently made some smaller decorate and textures. Bannisters Made some bannisters in brown, grey (for recoloring) and red. Are doom paletted and can be used as midtextures. Based on a photo of some "bannister restaurateur" (?). http://www.vidgames.de/images/temp/doom_wad/elend_bannisters.zip Grass A small short patch of grass, a medium sized patch, a large patch, as well as a tileable one. Doom paletted, can be used as a midtex. Depending on the light in your map you might have to adjust colors and / or remove some of the dark antialiasing pixels. http://www.vidgames.de/images/temp/doom_wad/elend_grass.zip Telecommunications Towers Made some sort of telecom towers (based on photos of two near my home) for my current tech based map. Fit best in darker and more realistic looking environments. Nothing special, can be placed as decorate. Comes with decorate.txt in the .wad http://www.vidgames.de/images/temp/doom_wad/elend_telecom_towers.zip Worklight Also for my techbase map a worklight incl. rotations. Perspective is a bit off, so it looks best, when placed beneath the player. Based on a model from Sketchfab with minor edits. Includes decorate.txt http://www.vidgames.de/images/temp/doom_wad/elend_worklight.zip Water Lilies Water lilies for use in shallow water, comes with an actual blossom as decorate, which can be placed ontop of the leaves as well as a little trim for the sides. Based on a photo of a ebay seller, selling a plastic water lily... thing. ?! http://www.vidgames.de/images/temp/doom_wad/elend_water_lily.zip Edited April 23, 2019 by elend Fixed worklight link 29 Quote Share this post Link to post

Fuzzball Posted April 25, 2019 Very quick version of this ol' thing without the god awful SHAWN "tiling" and instead a nice smooth transition. 22 Quote Share this post Link to post
DJMadMax Posted April 26, 2019 (edited) I actually wanted to play around a little bit with SLADE and therefore I made some textures myself. Spoiler Here's a more vivid looking grass flat that I altered (original from http://subdimensionstudios.com - free for non-commercial uses). It's 256x256 but it worked perfectly well with my GZDooM. You can, of course, just downscale it to 64x64 for classic DooM flat textures. Some other textures are related to TEKGREN, I wanted to span the one texture with the pipes on it a little bit wider and this is what came out of it: This also resulted in a smaller 32x128 texture that can be used in tighter TEKGREN-linedefs. Nothing special though, I still wanted to share it. EDIT: Fixed a small issue with the right border of the right "pipes"-texture, looked not right when it was patched together. Now everything should be fine. In addition there's now a middle part for the pipes. Also, a few more general TEKGREN textures and some lights. 128x128 256x128 32x128 left part, 192x128 borderless middle part, 32x128 right part Some differently colored TEKLIT in 64x128 Yes, i kinda like TEKGREN as a base texture :) Edited April 28, 2019 by DJMadMax Added stuff and put it into a spoiler for your convenience 16 Quote Share this post Link to post
elend Posted May 3, 2019 Made some more stuff for my current map. Three different sized ceramic pots and a small tree in a pot. All come with decorate, are Doom paletted but the pots are unfortunately not shootable. I am trying to figure out how to do that, and want to provide a nice animation for that as well. But for now, maybe someone can use them. Ceramic Pots http://www.vidgames.de/images/temp/doom_wad/elend_ceramic_pots.zip Small Tree http://www.vidgames.de/images/temp/doom_wad/elend_small_tree.zip 8 Quote Share this post Link to post

Gez Posted May 4, 2019 Are the pots high-res, or just very big? The perspective is from looking down at them, however the biggest of the three is taller than vanilla Doomguy. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Jimmy Posted May 5, 2019 7 hours ago, Glaice said: Is Neutrontex still WIP after 2 years? Yeah. I sort of forgot about it and never really made an effort to "finalise" it. It's currently pretty bare-bones so I don't know how useful it is as an actual resource, it's more just for show of "this is what happens when Jimmy tries to make stuff from scratch". 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
elend Posted May 6, 2019 (edited) For my techbase I made myself another custom texture. A coiled, chinese dragon carved in stone. It is based on a photo I shot at the giant wild goose pagoda in Xian. If that's not an awesome name, then I don't know what is. Although it's based on a photo, I had to rearrange quite some pixels to make sure the tiny details like the dragon's scales, bear or claws are visible proper. Not Doom paletted, use if you like. elend Posted May 6, 2019 @Gez Oh yeah, the pots are a bit off. Perspective and / or size is something I am still working on. xD 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
elend Posted May 7, 2019 Made a small desk lamp incl. 8 rotations (mirrored). Is Doom paletted, comes with DECORATE and GLDEFS and works best on darker backgrounds. Probably good for all sorts of "offices" that feature a more luxury or oldschool interior design. http://www.vidgames.de/images/temp/doom_wad/elend_desk_lamp.zip 12 Quote Share this post Link to post
