Scypek2 Posted September 30, 2019 Sweet! For the upcoming NaNoWadMo, I couldn't find a sky texture I wanted, so I created this monstrosity. Using textures posted by @torridgristle (meat), @129thVisplane (tentacles) and ChaingunnerX (eyes) as a base. I find the second version the most aesthetically pleasing, but it might get annoying as a backdrop, so I think I'll use the third one instead. 16 Quote Share this post Link to post
MTX1996 Posted October 6, 2019 (edited) Spoiler All of the images have been made utilizing Doom's existing textures. I plan on using these textures in a megawad that I'm working on, but I figured it wouldn't hurt if I were to share what I've made. A large version of the FLAT22 texture Some wood flats, crates, fence and rail textures mainly using Doom II's WOOD6/7/8/9 textures Wire textures created using MIDGRATE and MIDBRN1 as a base, as well as TEKWALL4 for the background An assortment of bookshelf textures Some various kitchen/pantry textures Chandeliers made utilizing the candelabra's sprite Another marble texture variant Yeah, there's quite a bit here... Edited October 6, 2019 by MTX1996 Wanted to remove the random texture at the bottom of the post (I didn't see it there before I first posted my message; oops!) 31 Quote Share this post Link to post

IMO, some people need to just come together and work on a "doom style details immersion texture pack" for the people who want to make more "realistic levels" with proper doom style textures. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post

I was thinking about this. Almost like a convenience pack of textures that fill in small gaps but nothing too extreme. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Gokuma Posted October 14, 2019 (edited) Here's a bunch. Made this stained glass of baron in front of sky3 and broken version in shape of Hexen's as well as pipes over ashwall in late 90's or early 2000's. Rest I think I made around 2012. Do whatever with them. Edited October 14, 2019 by Gokuma 13 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sapfiar Posted October 19, 2019 And who is the author of these textures, can I use, recoloring, them in my Wad ? Found it in Valiant, Stardate20x7 CC4 :) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gokuma Posted October 19, 2019 (edited) You could quick colorremap or colorise that original Doom white light texture in Slade and save yourself the time of waiting for a response. Edited October 19, 2019 by Gokuma 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gifty Posted October 23, 2019 Baby's first texture edit! Just spent a couple minutes mucking around for a mapset I'm making. Based off a concrete wall in Jimmytex. 6 Quote Share this post Link to post

Lone2401 Posted October 30, 2019 Reinterpretation of FIREBLU How it looks in game- Spoiler 33 Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Unregistered account Posted October 30, 2019 I've been practicing making custom textures from scratch since I'm trying to make a game 64x128, not yet converted to any palette. I have full tilesets (it's gonna use the Silent Hill/Spyro approach of making a tileset and mapping each part onto a quad of a level mesh) but they're on my other computer so there's only this for now :P 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Could you make a little variant of it with a little more spce between the rocks? As this, its looks a lot like the Heretic lava flat 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
XLightningStormL Posted November 3, 2019 Cyberpunk with Neo-90s aesthetics, UAC Phone Booth with proprietary Videocall tech capability Also obligatory Duke Nukem 3d/The Man from U.N.C.L.E reference. If you wanna use these, you gotta have GZDoom, and resize them to 160x72 in a paint editing program with alpha support (i.e Paint.Net) otherwise you can just edit out the transparent glass, and have an empty texture if you wanna use it for vanilla/boom/etc 8 Quote Share this post Link to post

129thVisplane Posted November 6, 2019 I once made a tiling skull texture, but it was from beta content so it doesnt line up with the retail skullwalls. So I tiled the actual skullwalls and some variants. Idk if anyone else did that before but here's my take anyway. 16 Quote Share this post Link to post

elend Posted November 28, 2019 For my personal project I made some shipping containers and thought, while I am at it, I could do some UAC Logo ones as well. Then I thought, how about some different colors as well? Then I thought, maybe not everyone likes them that rusty and dilapidated so I made some clean ones as well. Then I thought, maybe some don't like a logo at all and want to put their own stuff on them? So I made blank ones as well. Oh, and every container has its fitting "air conditioned unit" textures as well. Then I thought, maybe that's not scifi enough, so I made a more scifi looking container as well. Now I don't know what to think anymore. All textures come in 24 bit PNG and Doom Palette, although bear in mind that the green looks a tad weird. If you can, use the PNG ones. Download here 48 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jaska Posted November 28, 2019 Very nice! I hadn't found any good container textures. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
