A few goodies from me, and also did some quick editing of kirbyguy11s mountain.

Hey, I found out that there is no pure cyan color in the palette, it's just a salmon color.

Is it just used for transparency, or is it just there?

I dont think it really matters as long as the color you choose is different from the texture itself it works

Indeed, there is no cyan in the palette at all.

 

The salmon color is not used for transparency in the game, but it was used for transparency in id's toolchain. As a result, there are several sprites and even a few textures that have accidental transparent holes in places where they should have that color. The arachnotron's brain is especially a victim of that, but I've found some other instances, such as the Doom II burning city sky.

Somebody posted a photo of a tree struck by lightning, so naturally I had to make it tile and sloppily convert it to Doom palette.

Well i thought i will make atleast some progress in a week, but life and work took my attention so i didnt make any progress. But my conscious tell me i must to contribute atleast something.

So..... this is a few brick textures.

 

Small tip: I tested it in true color and doom render software in GZDOOM. In classic doom pallete it looks like green mossy rocks. Enjoy.

Posted this thing before, but it was much dirtier. I think this one is actually usable.

Originally it was meant to be a sky, but it was never used and I figure it can compliment some fleshy level as well.

The vast majority are edited versions of the iwad levels. E2M2 and E4M7 from Doom 1 and MAP08 and MAP14 from Doom 2 are the only exceptions so far (the first are taken from previous, abandoned projects, while I found it easier working from scratch for the latter two as the revisions are quite drastically different than the originals).
